For volunteers

About GLOCOVO

Volunteering is an altruistic activity where an individual or group provides services for no financial gain.  It is the same work as at any other workplace, only the “salary” is different. Besides altruism and moral recognition, organisations working with volunteers have the possibility to reward voluntary work with reimbursements, different vouchers, travelling, trainings and so on. We, the developer of GLOCOVO think these types of reward cannot build up the prestige volunteering deserves.

Why? Voluntary work is great experience, knowledge and value that has never been actually emphasised up until now.

The main objective of the GLOCOVO application and system is to transform voluntary work, which is useful, beneficial and essential for organisations, into a real and tangible value for volunteers as well. GLOCOVO makes it possible for volunteers to start building up a career while helping and working consciously, effectively and reliably, and to develop their own skills step by step.

GLOCOVO is an application that provides a platform for volunteers and organisations, that is supply and demand, to find each other. By specifying the interests and the scope of activities, volunteers and organisations can find each other quickly and easily.

The benefits of using GLOCOVO starts after the voluntary work. The organisation you worked for assesses your performance based on the criteria system set by GLOCOVO. This rating will be listed in your profile. The assessment points out your strengths and skills concerning how you communicate, cooperate etc. and highlights those areas where you need to improve yourself in order to be successful.

What is it good for?

The assessment developed by GLOCOVO is unified and detailed, it provides a comprehensive review of your skills that you can print out, attach to your CV or take to a job interview with you to boost your chances.

And it isn’t over yet!

GLOCOVO also wants to know your opinion and experience. You can rate the organisation you worked for by answering a series of questions provided by the application. This way you can contribute to a further successful cooperation between organisations and volunteers.

Based on ratings, GLOCOVO generates the list of TOP 100 organisations and volunteers. For more information about the advantages and importance of the TOP 100, click here.

The volunteer portfolio of GLOCOVO is an extra in providing quality, which justifies our statement “volunteering is power”.

Community Service

The aim of community service is to create links connecting the young and organisations that are actively involved in social responsibility. The aim is to encourage students taking part in community service to further contribute to social processes and help agents of the civil society sector after the first 50 hours of work is over. Community service is the first step towards volunteering. It is essential to have a good time, be of help and gain useful knowledge during 50 hours of work. GLOCOVO helps you find the most suitable organisation where you can develop and provides you with the possibility to get ratings of your work that can support your CV or other applications.

Sign up and spend 50 hours working in a useful way at a place that is suitable for you!
